Baccarat How to Play

How to Bet:
There are three different bets you can place in Baccarat. You can bet on the Player, bet on the Banker, bet on a tie or any combination of the above.

To place your bet, simply click on a chip of your desired value from the rack at the bottom of the playing field and then place them in the required section on the casino table.

To remove a bet before the cards are dealt, press and hold the Spacebar and then click on the appropriate bet spot on the table.

To remove all bets, click the CLEAR button.

Click "DEAL" to start playing.

How to Win:
The winning hand in Baccarat is the hand with the total closest to 9.

  • 10, Jack, Queen and King has the value 0
  • 2-9 have their normal value
  • Ace has the value 1

If the sum of the cards is higher than 10, only the second number is taken – so 17 is 7, 18 is 8, etc… This also means that 10 and 20 are 0

Winning Odds
In Baccarat you can win whether the player or the banker wins, though the odds are slightly different.

  • Winning with the Player pays even money
  • Winning with the Banker pays even money, minus a 5% house commission
  • The Tie bet pays 8 to 1

In case of a tie between the hands, any bets made on the Player or the Banker are returned to the player.

How Cards are Dealt
To understand Baccarat you must understand how the cards are dealt – especially to the banker.

This might seem a little complicated for first time players, so we’ve tried to break it down for you here:

The player and the banker are each given two cards to start with.

If either the player or the banker has 8 or 9, no more cards are dealt.

If the sum of the player's hand is 5 or less, they get a third card. If the player doesn’t draw a third card the bank will stand on 6 or more and take a card if 5 or less.

Baccarat Tips

The Odds

In Baccarat the player will win around 44% of hands, while the dealer wins around 45%. The remaining hands will be a tie.

Betting on the Banker

Taking into account these odds, your best bet is to put your money on the banker, even considering the 5% house commission paid when you bet banker and win.

High Pay Outs

Because Baccarat has one of the highest expectations onsite it's the surest way to get more gaming for your money.
