Poker Hand Rankings
The following Poker hands are valid in 3 Card Poker℠. Ace can be high or low.

Royal Flush:Q-K-A cards of the same suit. e.g. Q-K-A of Clubs.
Straight Flush: Three cards of the same suit, of consecutive rank. e.g. 6-7-8 of Hearts.
Three of a Kind: Three cards with the same rank.
Straight: Three consecutive cards, of mixed suits.
Flush: Three cards of the same suit.
Pair: Two cards with the same rank.
High Card: Three non-matching cards.

The above list is ranked so the higher hands beat the lower hands, with matching sets ranked depending on the value of the cards within it.

When comparing a Flush, Straight, or Straight Flush hand, the hand with the higher high card wins. If the winning outcome is the same between two hands, the remaining cards in the hand are examined.

3 Card Poker℠ Tips

Play or Fold?

Mathematically, the answer is that you should play any hand that is better than a Queen-Six-Four; the reason is that although Queen-Six-Four through to King-Queen-10 are loss generating hands, they'll generate less loss by being played than they will being held. Anything better than an Ace High is a positive hand, so you'll win more often than not, and they should always be played.

Patience

The key with 3 Card Poker℠ is patience and steely nerves. It's important not to start playing hands that you should be folding - it's about staying patient and hitting a hand that will pay out from two separate pay-tables and beat the dealer. Those hands really are moments to savour!
